Ira S Comstock
- 2nd Lieutenant
Ira was one of the sons of Henry and Lucinda Comstock. He was born in Massachusetts. The family moved to New York and then to Ingersoll Canada. He enlisted at Plattsburgh as a private. was captured at Rapidan and released at Savanah. Promoted to Sergt. He was commissioned 2nd Lt. and finally discharged for disability in Jan. 1865. He died shortly after the war. His brother Adelbert was killed at Cold Harbor. I'd like to see any images of this unit and images of Ira
